What sweet I made for the Republic Day.
New Recipe which I tried for Republic day is “PAAN Laddu” using paan (betel leaves) which is available in our home garden.
Actually, we planned to make paan laddu a few days back. But it was postponed and came true on Republic Day.
Time taken to make this recipe was almost one hour.
I tried the recipe using the ingredients in to the half.
I watched first YouTube video of making this paan laddu and the ingredients was also less and satisfied with the method. It was explained in Hindi with subtitles in English. Few been understandable and subheading help me to follow up it properly.
Few changes I made while preparing was instead of Kashmiri paan (betel leaf) I used normal country betel leaf which is three in count. And for Desiccated coconut powder I used fresh grated coconut.
Along with stuffing shown in the video i.e., Gulkand, Cashew nut, Almond, Tutti frutti, I added dry grapes also. Finally, while making balls it was slightly sticky. Once finished making balls and rolled on the coconut it wasn’t that sticky.
