My experience while making “Betel Leaf Rice’ on searching the recipe from the you tube which I felt something new.

We plan what to cook a day before by looking at the availabilities of vegetables and provisions.

Sometimes based on the other things like time, climate and so on., We decide to make something else that suits to the situation.

And sometimes we plan to cook using the greens/vegetables available from our garden.

This time we planned to make something using betel leaf which is available in our garden as it helps to digest and good for cold.

Already I prepared betel leaf Dosa and Rasam.

As it was very sour we were able to eat only a little thing even though it is good for our health.

We always show interest to cook something healthy, even though it is consumed less.

We regularly use millet, oats, powdered jaggery, palm jaggery, rock salt, and so on., in our regular use.

While thought of using betel leaves available in our garden, I searched the you tube for making “Vathakuzhambu” “Parupu Kootu”, but the recipe for the same was not available.

While searching we came across the youtube video that made the betel leaf rice with the ingredients whic we use in our regular cooking and the procedure was also too easy and quick to make. While making something new, I prefer that it should be easy and simple to make with less ingredients.

So as a next option we decided to try with “Betel Leaf Rice’ for which I looked for it in the youtube which satisfied my need.

I thought of sharing the experience with you ( My Readers) along with the link of the youtube video which helped me to make the recipe.

In our family everyone liked the taste of the betel leaf rice which I made recently.

Have a look at the picture of betel leaf rice.

After making the dish I converted the rice to a small bowl and shifted it to the tiffin plate.

Then I plucked two cute tiny betel leaves to decorate the rice with pepper and jeera on the top of the betel leaves.
